Health Insurance
There are three medical options, dental option, and a vision option to choose from, allowing you to find the plan that will best suit your needs.
Life Insurance
HMS provides a life insurance policy automatically to full time employees at no cost. Our employees also have the option to purchase additional life insurance for yourself, spouse, and children, through us at group premium rates with a payroll deduction.
Disability
HMS pays 100% of our full time employees Short and Long term disability insurance. This benefit is to help provide a portion of your income in the event certain circumstances involving injury, sickness, or disability occur.
Employee Stock Ownership and 401(k) Plans
HMS helps provide for your retirement in two ways. First is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. This plan allows employees who have met eligibility requirements to receive free shares of stock in the company on an annual basis. Secondly, employees are able to participate in a 401(k) plan by deferring a percentage of their pre-tax pay or post-tax each pay period.
Cafeteria Plan
HMS, Inc. allows you to participate in a Flexible Benefits Spending Plan, under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, which will allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for approved non covered medical expenses or dependent child care expenses you may incur in a calendar year.
Paid Time Off
HMS offers a generous PTO plan for both full- and part-time employees. Full-time employees accrue 80 hours of PTO during the first year, and regular increases at two, three, five, ten and fifteen years. This PTO plan includes eight company paid holidays. This plan also includes a buy-back and rollover option after two years of service.
Computer Purchase Program
When you have been employed with our company for one year, you become eligible to participate in this program. This program gives you the opportunity to, upon approval of your manager, purchase a computer for your home, with an interest free loan (payroll deduction applies).
Certification and Seminar Assistance
This program allows employees to expand their promotional opportunities within the company by advancing you the cost of certification for job-related seminars and classes.
Employee Referral Pay Program
If you refer an applicant that then becomes a full time HMS employee, after 90 days of their employment you will receive $1250 in referral pay.
Direct Deposit of Pay Check
We can deposit your pay into the account, or accounts (up to four), of your choice.
