HMS Ambulatory EHR Receives ONC-ATCB Certification

Software becomes latest HMS solution certified capable of enabling physician practices and community hospitals to qualify for federal funding under ARRA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 16, 2011)—Healthcare Management Systems Inc. (HMS) has received certification for HMS Ambulatory EHR Version 9.2.1 from the Drummond Group, an authorized testing and certification body of the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC-ATCB). The Drummond Group tests and certifies that electronic health records meet the meaningful use criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The certification of HMS Ambulatory EHR completes HMS’ spectrum of certified EHR solutions for inpatient services, emergency departments and physician practices. HMS Ambulatory EHR is designed to help physicians qualify for Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services incentive payments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

This Complete EHR is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
