Transcription
HMS Transcription allows users to interface Microsoft Word documents with Results Reporting so that those documents can be viewed in Order Communications, Clinical View and HIM. Transcription is linked to patient orders via fields in the Order Communications Transcription file. In addition, the Result Department file in Results Reporting has a field that allows users to flag a department to allow transcription.
Features & Benefits Transcription gives the ability to document a note and put it into the HMS system in order to view, print, or sign. When users select an order to transcribe, they enter a security code and identify the dictating physician. When the document is completed, it is stored/archived on the HIS system for access in various areas.
Each transcribed document has a preliminary status until it is verified via eSignature by the dictating physician. In the end, this solution allows facility-wide access to the transcribed document with the proper security.
